Billy Miller, who won three Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on The Young and the Restless before moving on to General Hospitalwould have died at the age of 43.

Michael Fairman TV announced the news on Saturday (September 16), citing a source who said the actor had died the day before – and just two days before his 44th birthday – although no cause of death was revealed.

The Belmont, a Los Angeles business that Miller co-owned, also confirmed the soap star’s death, Michael Fairman TV adds.

Miller made his Hollywood debut with a starring role in CSI: NY in 2006, and he played Richie Novak in the ABC soap opera All my children between 2007 and 2008, as shown below.

The Oklahoma native joined The Young and the Restless in 2008, in the role of Billy Abbott. For his performance in the CBS series, he was nominated three times in the Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category of the Daytime Emmys, winning twice, and nominated twice in the Lead Actor in a Drama Series category, winning once.

As of 2014, Miller played Jason Morgan in General Hospital – reprising a role previously played by Steve Burton – and earned another Daytime Emmy lead actor nomination for that role on the ABC soap. When Burton returned as Jason in 2017, Miller’s version of the character was revealed to be Drew Cain, Jason’s twin brother.

However, Miller wasn’t just a daytime TV fixture. He also had recurring roles on the primetime television series Alarm, Ray DonovanAnd Suits. And on the big screen, he shared the screen with Bradley Cooper in the Oscar-nominated film. American sniper in 2014.

More recently, Miller starred in The truth be told as Alex Dunn, the husband of one of Lizzy Caplan’s twin characters in the Apple TV+ series, and he starred in The recruit And NCIS.
