TEA WITH PALACE: In a collaboration with cross-generational taste, Palace has teamed up with Wedgwood for a range of skateboard designs and a bone china tea set. The Palace Wedgwood collection launches on Friday October 20th.

The collaboration includes a teapot, cup, saucer and plate featuring a graphic strawberry pattern from Palace’s archives, inspired by Wedgwood’s wild strawberry and vine pattern.

Palace and Wedgwood have also created skateboard designs that feature the skate brand’s graphic strawberry print and Wedgwood’s signature blue hue.

British photographer Alasdair McLellan photographed the campaign inspired by the long-running BBC TV series Antiques Roadshow. The film and stills feature Palace Riders Savannah Stacey Keenan, Danny Brady and Chewy Canon, as well as the show’s ceramics expert Lars Tharp.

Palace Wedgwood is sold in Palace stores and online and exclusively at Wedgwood, Harrods.

Palace collaborates regularly, but tends to forge ties with fashion and sport rather than high-end home and tableware manufacturers.

Last year, the company launched viral collaborations with Gucci, Calvin Klein and Tour de France Femmes and has worked with the likes of Oakley, Juventus, Adidas, McDonald’s and Rimowa in the past.

Wedgwood is also no stranger to collaborations, having worked with Topshop Unique and Mulberry in the past.

The 260-year-old English brand is known for its collections of fine bone china and luxury homewares, which have attracted many fans in the fashion world over the years.

Last year, the Victoria & Albert Museum expanded its Wedgwood collection with the purchase of a rare Art Deco tea and coffee set previously owned by Karl Lagerfeld.

The Campanula tea and coffee service was designed by Paul Follot for Wedgwood and was acquired from the estate of the designer, a voracious collector who died in 2019.
