The roster changes have been announced by Mosaic Insurance, Carbon Underwriting, BMS Group, and SmartChoice.

The team grows with 13 new colleagues.

Mosaic Insurance expanded its environmental risk capability, bringing 13 veterans on board as part of a strategic effort to expand its business across the US.

The expansion represents a new phase of growth for Mosaic’s environmentally responsible division, which was introduced less than two years ago as the company’s seventh product line. The new hires (pictured above) are spread across the US, expanding a group of seven environmental risk specialists currently based in London, Toronto and Philadelphia.

Duggan will serve as head of environmental claims. Dominicanon, Grassel, Horn, McDonald, Riley, Stedman, and Weber as senior vice presidents; Enderlin, Sweeney, and Zavistauskaite as VPs; and Dahnvi and Tarzoli as assistant vice presidents.

Jim Finamore, global head of environmental responsibility at Mosaic, noted: “This accelerates our scale in the US, Canada and the wider Americas, and paves the way for immediate, broad market engagement across the region at a time when It is most needed.”

The expansion follows Mosaic’s first move into a historic office on 42nd Street in New York City and the hiring of Toby Smith as Americas chief executive.

The head of the syndicate administration reached.

Carbon Underwriting, which manages syndicates CBN 4747 and CBN 5757 at Lloyd’s, brought in Julie Gallagher (pictured immediately below) to act as head of syndicate management with immediate effect.

Gallagher moves to managing general underwriter from Asta Capital, where she held the role of head of client management. His extensive experience in managing syndicate performance and nurturing relationships will be instrumental in Carbon’s continued growth and innovation.

In his new capacity, Gallagher will have oversight of the performance and operations of Carbon’s syndicates, including syndicate 5757, which was given Lloyd’s in-principle approval to begin underwriting early next year.

By the 2025 account year, Carbon expects to manage £400 million in gross written premiums.

Group Name Chief Broking Officer

Independent insurance and reinsurance broker BMS Group has hired UK-based Richard Dudley as group chief broking officer effective December.

With more than three decades of experience, Dudley has held several senior positions in the industry, most recently as global head of climate strategy at Aon. His extensive background includes serving as CEO of Aon’s Commercial Risk Wholesale and Specialty Broking in London.

At BMS, Dudley will focus on advancing the company’s reinsurance platforms in both London and Bermuda. His established relationships and experience in managing large specialty businesses will support the continued expansion of BMS’s London Specialty Division under the leadership of Ian Gormley.

Dudley currently serves on the Council of Lloyds, where he chairs two committees aimed at market transformation. Additionally, he is a former chairman of the London and International Insurance Brokers Association.

Nick Cook, chief executive of BMS, said: “Richard brings an outstanding wealth of experience and will play a key role in supporting BMS as it grows. With his extensive expertise in both specialty and reinsurance, colleagues, insurers With its relationships and history of working with regulators, and clients worldwide, BMS will be instrumental in expanding its international footprint.

The Agents Program elects a finance chief.

Brendan Flinchum (pictured below), a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience at Forvis Insurance, now serves as Chief Financial Officer at SmartChoice, a global insurance network under its umbrella. is an agent program.

During his tenure at one of America’s largest public accounting firms, Flinchum held several roles, including his most recent position as managing director of the company’s triad assurance practice.

Andrew Caldwell, president of SmartChoice, explained: “With over $130 million in acquisitions last year, and an EBITDA that has tripled by year-end 2022 – it’s a seasoned professional on our team. It was a perfect time to join.

“Brendan was also on the Forvis Mazars team that audited our financials in previous years, so he is very familiar with our business model.”

Chief Operating Officer Joe Fisher added: “Brandon and I serve on the board of United Way of Greater High Point, where he most recently assumed the position of board chair.

“Her leadership skills and initiative have been critical not only to our rapid growth at SmartChoice, but also to our mission to give back generously to our community.”
