Spellcrux Amulet

The Spellcrux Amulet in Baldur’s Gate 3 is an essential necklace for creating powerful spellcasting. It only has one bonus feature, which may not sound like much, but it’s a fantastic perk at higher levels. Spell Slot Restoration Grants the wearer the ability to fill an expended spell slot of any level as a bonus action once per long rest.

This means that when you reach level 11 on a wizard or sorcerer, you can get a free cast of a level 6 spell. Both classes only get one level six spell slot, which means they can only cast spells like Disintegrate or Globe of Invulnerability once per long rest. Equipping the Spellcrux Amulet means you can restore a level 6 spell slot and cast the spell a second time.

Additionally, if you really want to stack another cast of level 6 spells on top of this, you can equip your wizard or sorcerer with the Markohashkar Quarterstaff!

To get the Spellcrux Amulet in BG3 you have to enter the Shadow-Cursed Lands in Act 2, find a way inside the Moonrise Towers, and then enter the prisons to face the Warden. You can get to Moonrise Towers in different ways. Depending on the story choices you’ve made so far, and those you choose after you first enter the Shadow Cursed Lands. You’ll find towers to the southwest of the map. If you’ve followed the Druid guide and convinced the guards that you’re an absolute fan, you can try the direct approach through the front doors. However, there is also a door near the docks on the east side of the tower that will take you directly into the prison from the outside.

If you went in the front door, once inside you’ll need to make your way to the west side of the tower. On the main floor, you’ll find some stairs leading up to the prison. (If you sided with the goblins in Act 1 and are hoping to recruit Manthara, the prison is where you’ll find her after the scene in the main throne room.) Under the stairs, straight ahead is the open space. Go to All the cells are wrapped around a central tower. Guards will be patrolling and wardens will likely be in the center building. You’ll need to walk partway around the circle before you reach a bridge that takes you up.

You have to kill the Warden to loot the Spellcrux amulet. Do this when he’s without the other guards in his office and you’ll have an easier time of it. Additionally, if you’re looking to rescue Tieflings and other prisoners, you can wait for the other guards in the office to pass by and pick them off one by one safely.
