Forza Motorsport Not fully launched yet, but some players in Early Access are experiencing game-breaking bugs.

As is apparently increasingly common in games these days, Forza Motorsport is available in Early Access for a few days for those who have paid a little extra. The game’s original release date of October 10th is just one day away, but the early access release means some people can enjoy the game warts and all. And it seems to have warts, as some players are seeing a major game-breaking bug that in some cases prevents the game from being playable at all.

As shared by a player in the Xbox Series X subreddit, a post on the Forza Forums has seen multiple players reporting the bug in question. A Reddit user detailed what the bug does, writing that “Whenever you upgrade a car or buy a new car, it’s possible that the game will enter an infinite loading screen, and There is no error handling or timeout. The game will just hang. There indefinitely. And you’re forced to restart the game, causing you to lose your career progression.”

While for most the bug seems to result in lost progress, at worst it can prevent you from playing the game at all, with this particular user writing, “Once this happens , you will not be able to progress in the game because the saves are now desynced or corrupted.” Other users on both the subreddit and the forums report only repeating races they’ve completed, which is still annoying but not as severe.

There doesn’t seem to be a fix for this issue right now, so all we can do for now is that Turn 10 Studios will work to fix this issue soon.
